At Cat City we believe cats aren't meant to be bored. They are hunters, climbers, problem solvers; wild at heart, even when curled up on the couch. Our mission is to honour those instincts by creating and curating cat toys that inspire your cat's authentic self, while giving cat parents a trusted, one stop shop for everything their cats need. We're not just here to sell products, but to support you every step of the way - answering questions, offering guidance, and helping you make choices that truly benefit your cat.

  • Our Mission

To create and source cat toys that awaken natural feline instincts, provide enrichment, and support healthier, happier lives. All while being a reliable resource for cat parents who want better for their cats.

  • Our Vision

Cats living as they were truly meant to; curious, confident, and engaged from the safety of our homes.

Why We Started

Cat City was born out of frustration. As cat parents, we noticed the gap in the pet industry: shelves packed with dog toys, each one carefully created to enrich their lives. Meanwhile, very few thoughtfully designed, durable, enrichment focused options for cats. Too often cat toys felt like an afterthought; poor quality, uninspiring, and disposable. We knew cats deserved better.

Supporting Toronto’s Cats

At Cat City, community is just as important as creativity. We believe enrichment should be accessible to every cat, regardless of circumstance. Which is why we’re so proud to support the Toronto Humane Society and their work with cats and guardians across the city.

One of the programs we contribute to is the Toronto Humane Society’s Community Day, an outreach initiative designed to support individuals and families who may face barriers to accessing pet supplies and services. Community Day helps keep people and their pets together by providing essential resources to those who need it most.

Through Cat City, every purchase helps extend that care even further. For each order placed, an extra handmade toy is set aside for donation, allowing more cats in shelters and underserved communities to experience safe, enriching play.

Our Brand

  • Inspiration

We adopted Kiratsa in the early summer of 2024. Found abandoned in a backyard for 6 years, her battle scars inspired us in ways we never thought possible. Watching how she played, learned, and responded to enrichment opened our eyes to how deeply the right toys can impact a cats confidence, behaviour, and overall well being. Kira is still with us in every decision we make, you can be confident that every product on this website is thoughtfully chosen, tested, and loved - just as we would have done for her.

  • Experience With Animals

With over 10 years of hands on animal experience, our background spans everything from snakes and rodents to horses and cats. This diverse knowledge has shaped how we think about enrichment, safety, and quality; especially for animals who live indoors and rely on us to meet their physical and mental needs.
